How I Work

Relationship-first and non-dogmatic.

Before any technique, I want to actually know you: your history, your defenses, the parts of you that are doing their best to keep you safe. Trust isn't a formality before the real work starts. It is the work.

Modalities

EMDR for specific memories or recent events your body hasn't let go of, whether from years ago or something that just happened
Parts work (IFS) for getting curious about the part of you that intellectualizes or self-protects, rather than trying to talk yourself out of it
CBT, DBT, and ACT when you want concrete tools and real homework between sessions
Psychodynamic and psychoanalytic work underneath all of it: understanding why these patterns formed in the first place, and building a relationship steady enough that insight can actually turn into change

What sessions look like

Length: 55 to 60 minutes, 90 minutes, or two hours
Frequency: weekly to start, then every other week, once a month, or as needed — all dependent on the client
Format: in-person in Lower Manhattan, or virtual
Room for humor, contradiction, and not having it all figured out
